Privacy Policy

This explains what Nexus stores, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it to what's needed to run the bot.

What we store

• When you log in to the dashboard: your Discord ID, username, display name and avatar, and the list of servers you can manage. We keep your login session and Discord login token so you stay logged in.
• About each server: its name, icon, member count, and its channels, roles and emojis (so the dashboard can show them in lists).
• Settings you save: each module's settings, the last 25 versions of them, and a log of who changed what.
• Moderation: cases such as warnings, timeouts, bans and staff strikes, with the member's ID and name, the moderator and the reason.
• Leveling: your ID, name, avatar, XP and how many messages you sent.
• Stats: daily counts of messages, joins and leaves per server and channel. Only numbers, never what anyone wrote.
• Feature data: giveaways and who entered, reminders, AFK status (and links to messages that pinged you while away), temporary voice channels, links you add for content alerts, and staff activity check responses.

Messages

Nexus reads messages in channels it can see so features like automod, custom commands, the auto-responder, prefix commands and AFK can work. It doesn't store messages, except where a feature is meant to keep them: the starboard reposts starred messages, and when a ticket closes its transcript is saved in your server's log channel and sent to the member who opened it.

How we use it

Only to run Nexus and its dashboard, keep them safe from abuse, and fix problems. We don't sell your data, use it for ads, or share it with anyone except the services that run Nexus: Discord, and Cloudflare, which hosts the dashboard and its database.

How long we keep it

• Login sessions last until you log out, or 400 days without using the dashboard.
• The dashboard's change log is kept for 90 days.
• Daily stats are kept for about a year.
• Server settings stay when the bot is removed, so adding it back restores them, unless you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

• Log out of the dashboard at any time from your profile menu.
• Server admins can reset settings from the dashboard, and reset levels.
• Removing Nexus from your server stops it collecting anything new there.
• To see or delete what we store about you or your server, ask in our support server.

Children

Nexus is meant for people old enough to use Discord under Discord's own age rules.

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
